Hotel Riazor

The ocean view from our seaside room was lovely, and the location is a big plus. But the room had just one outlet by the beds, the AC never cooled it down even though we stayed in mid-September, and the Wi-Fi was dismal. It worked well in the lobby, but the front desk couldn't help improve the room connection. A restaurant server eventually put us on a network that only worked on that floor. The service was terrible.

The service was faultless the whole time, and breakfast was good. Lunch wasn't great, though it was reasonable for the price. I look forward to coming back.

I spent hours watching the bay and the waves, especially when a storm came in. I was on the second floor, and a gap in the trees across the street gave me a beautiful view. I don't know whether the rooms on either side had the same view. The bed was comfortable, and although the hotel is right by a busy road, the room was well soundproofed. Check-in was quick and easy after a long, stressful travel day. The central location suited me, and I'd definitely stay here again.

The location is extraordinary and breakfast was tasty, with eggs, scrambled eggs, bacon, salami, different hams, cheese, fruit, yogurt, coffee, water, and plenty of pastries. Still, I wouldn't return. It wasn't worth the money, and the service left a lot to be desired. Smiling and acting as if mistakes don't matter isn't enough; they should have taken responsibility. The parking listing on Booking and in the description made it sound included, but we were told on arrival it cost 13 euros per night. The hotel has no included parking, and perhaps they'll remove that claim in future. We booked a matrimonial bed but got a double room with beds on wheels that could separate overnight if we pushed them together. It doesn't feel like a 4-star hotel. The furniture and decor were shabby, stained, or damaged.
