We left the same day and found somewhere else to stay. Finding this place was a struggle: the main road was closed for construction, the usable way in wasn’t on Google maps, and searching for “volcanic beach” brought up three different locations. We tried all three and couldn’t find the hostel. After we called the booking number and gave our location, someone came to guide us, but she didn’t speak English. We tried to explain that we didn’t speak Spanish, but she kept explaining things in Spanish, so we couldn’t understand her. The accommodation itself wasn’t great either. There was a huge pile of mattresses in the living room, and the basic private room with bathroom had no TV. TVs were only in the shared areas.

It was very basic. I was handed a room key when I arrived, with no one showing me where the pool or laundry was, or explaining anything else. Wi-Fi costs extra and didn’t work, and you also have to pay to watch TV. The other guests were very noisy. I probably wouldn’t book here again, though that’s just my preference.

A smelly, dirty place with loads of bugs. The morning he kicked me out, I was sitting beside the cigarette machine and TV, and both were fine. Still, he accused me of breaking them and took the money from my bank when I left. That was the money for my father's funeral.
