Our room had lovely facilities, and the staff were excellent. The internet didn’t work, though, and the TV signal was weak. Maybe that was just because we were in the room nearest the entrance. The toilet paper was also pretty poor quality, which felt out of place in such a nicely set-up hotel.

After the six-hour drive, we found out the hotel wouldn’t accept dogs. We’d booked through booking. Com and had been told dogs were allowed for an extra charge paid on arrival, so this was a surprise. To the hotel’s credit, they apologized, gave us coffee, and tried to find somewhere nearby. In the end, though, we carried on with another three and a half hours of driving ahead of us.

The price seemed fair, and the service was attentive. We tried the "ventresca" salad, "ternasco", and cod, and everything came out delicious and well cooked.

Be sure to check with the property about which days and hours the restaurant is open before booking. It closes on Mondays and Tuesdays in the off-season, which can be a real drawback depending on when you stay, given the hotel’s location. Our room, Peña Blanco, was roomy, clean, and comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent. Please keep it just as it is. The woman overseeing reception and breakfast was especially lovely and efficient. The property itself is beautiful, just as it looks online.
