The location is great, about 10 minutes from Olot and its outdoor attractions, and the house is spacious with storage and decent kitchen equipment. We stayed with family for two nights, and the place was okay, but the cleanliness and worn furnishings made it poor value for the price. There was dust on the surfaces, shelves, and tables, plus cobwebs in the corners. The beds, furniture, and fittings felt tired, and the old stained seats were unpleasant. It's a rural house, but I've stayed in many that were spotless. Two of us sneezed from the dust throughout the stay. People renting the upstairs apartment said they felt the same and had complained to the woman who runs the place. It could be a decent stay if they cleaned more thoroughly.

I booked the place for my sister, but her feedback left me dissatisfied. She couldn't get the officials available to answer questions, there was no breakfast despite the advert saying it was included, and they had to share a bathroom instead of getting the stated ensuite option.

We went with a big family group, including my children, parents, sisters, and in-laws. The peaceful setting and mountain views are lovely, and the pool is good with clean water, though the bottom needs cleaning. The houses are a little old and could use some updating, especially the oldest one, the Chalet. I stayed in the newer Paller and would choose that one if you go. There were so many flies and mosquitoes that being outside to eat by the pool was unbearable. I know that's not the owners' fault, but there were tons of them. For the price, it was decent, about a 6 out of 10. Also, if you don't like cats, be aware there are quite a few waiting by the doors to come in for food. I don't like cats.

We spent a week at *Mas Prat* and had a great stay. The cottage was clean and well equipped, and the shower was comfortable. The owners were friendly, and we enjoyed a cozy evening using the BBQ. Starting from *Vall de Bianya*, we walked to *Sant Miquel* and *Sant Valentí*, and saw the impressive *Santa Margarida volcano*. The *Molí Fondo waterfall* was a lovely, refreshing stop too. We also had a fun day out in *Empuriabrava*, then visited *Girona City*, which surprised us with its charm and history. A peaceful, clean place in nature, and we'd definitely return.

We won't return to Mas Prat, though we will visit La Garrotxa again for its many routes, excursions, and little villages. The surroundings are beautiful, and the apartment was comfortable enough to live in, though without many luxuries. It was hot, with the windows open, and hundreds of flies made it impossible to sleep, eat, or sunbathe. During our eight days, Victoria didn't even say good morning when she saw us, and we felt more care and respect from other guests than from the staff. I did appreciate the kind, polite guy with tattoos who lives next to the caretakers. We paid €1080 for a week and felt treated like criminals after I said it wasn't fair to arrive late, and because our dog got into the pool area one day. Our booking was for the Graner, the second and top floor, with check-in on August 1st. We expected to leave early in case of traffic, but arrived much earlier. Check-in was at 3pm. I asked Victoria if we could come in a little sooner because we had children, a dog, and frozen food with us. She said no, check-in would be between 3 and 4pm. I accepted that we couldn't arrive early, but felt it wasn't fair that she let us in an hour late and told her so. She took it badly, and greeted me with a contemptuous look. She then gave us a long list of rules after a warm welcome, but it seemed only our group had to follow them. Her people didn't close the pool gate, went into the pool area in sneakers, smoked there, brought in glass bottles, and left the loungers out. My dog wasn't allowed to lie beside me on the grass, while her cat was there day and night. On Sunday, August 3rd, friends came to eat in the common areas. At 4pm, during the summer heatwave, guests without air conditioning were trying to nap with windows open, but the group shouted and laughed, while cars and motorbikes kept arriving. That was the end of siesta, and the grass was cut at the same time. Victoria also scolded me for rules I hadn't broken. She claimed I was being too clever again when the dog ran out of the car, even though he wasn't in the pool. Another afternoon, you left your car for hours under the basketball hoop and spoiled our shots. Nobody said anything to you. A simple request to move it so we could play would have been another challenge for you. What a shame to leave with such a bad taste.
