The view was the main thing I was after, and I wanted somewhere relaxed to sit with a drink. With the village mostly shut between ski season and summer, the other restaurant was packed, and I didn’t want to struggle for service. There was only one table being served inside here. I began with coffee and beer, then spotted mountain soup on the menu. The lady patiently explained the menu del dia, despite my very limited Spanish, and I was nearly going to order it anyway. I also got buttifara con juvias blancas (sausage and white beans) as my second plate. The soup had pasta, several kinds of sausage and meatballs in chicken broth. It did remind me of packet soup, but the meat was tasty, with different textures and flavors. The pork sausage was plain, while the white beans with butter, garlic, and herbs were delicious and balanced it out. Simple and peaceful, with an amazing view. Just what I wanted.

The service was awful. We waited for everything, and the staff seemed disorganized and in a bad mood. The food was terrible too: packet soup, canned food, and expensive drinks. Avoid this place.

Keep driving. For €19, the portions and quality were poor, and even the chips were hollow! 😲

The bathroom was the one decent part, comfortable and fairly new. The owner was attentive too, but the apartment really needs renovating and just wasn’t comfortable. The beds are tiny, with spring mattresses, too small even for a slightly bigger child whose feet would hang over. The stairs to the bedrooms are steep and narrow, with no handrail, and the sofas are awful and very uncomfortable. There’s no oven either, so you can’t make a pizza. Everything else, especially the beds, seems made for very small people.

The staff were really friendly and the food was okay, though simple. But the wait felt endless, slowest restaurant in Europe.
