Casa San Marcial

The staff were great.

The building has plenty of character and is in the old Vegueta neighborhood, with all the facilities you need. But you can hear every voice and car passing right outside the windows. The glass is opaque, and the windows don't open.

We stayed three nights at Apartamente Pepita on a work trip, and the place suited us well. There were three of us, so the three bedrooms were just right, though the apartment could sleep six. My room was large and comfortable, and the living room was pleasant. The internet connection wasn't stable, though. We didn't use the kitchen, but having it there was a real plus. The place has a traditional look, with a lovely old-fashioned feel, and the quiet historic center location worked well for us. It's a long way from the beaches, so I'd suggest taking a bus. I also loved the entrance hall, with its piano and old typewriters. We had a great stay.

We ended our days on the lovely terrace, chatting in the breeze over one last cicchetto. The location feels quaint and romantic, just a three-minute walk from the Cathedral of Sant'Ana and close to the pedestrian area, where there are lots of little restaurants to try.
