Little Surf House Hostel

We ended up booking somewhere else for the last two nights of our planned three-night stay. The place was very dirty and not cleaned, and there was only one bathroom for ten rooms, with limited access. The beds were tiny and uncomfortable, and for the price I’d choose a real hostel. The shared kitchen was just a one-square-metre stove, and there weren’t any common areas, only a corridor. We were woken several times in the night by corridor light and noise. Think twice before booking if you want to enjoy Las Palmas while staying at Little surf hostel. Despite the name, there’s nothing around surf here, just the marketed name. This was my worst experience in Gran Canaria.

The beach, buses and supermarkets are all within a five-minute walk, which makes this a nearly perfect base for exploring Las Palmas. It’s a cozy little hostel with friendly, welcoming hosts and a familiar atmosphere. Thanks for having us!

The location works really well for surfing, with Las Canteras/La Cicer beach around five minutes away on foot. Restaurants, beach bars and the shopping mall are nearby too. I stayed a little over a week at Little Surf House hostel, and Rosa and her family made me feel welcome and comfortable. The hostel was quiet and relaxed, a good place to rest after surfing. I recommend it!

They cancelled our reservation two days before we were due to arrive and gave no explanation. My money is now blocked because they say the refund can take 7-10 days. I’m in Gran Canaria now, struggling to find somewhere else to stay. I don’t recommend this service.
