It’s below average, though I did get used to it after the first day. The location is handy, close to centro historico de las palmas and bus stops, and the Wi-Fi was great. The owner is nice, but there really needs to be reception. At night the hostel felt dirty and uncomfortable, with a bad atmosphere. During the day it was cleaned and looked somewhat better. Some guests made the place unpleasant, and the room situation was confusing: I booked a four-bed room but was put in a six-bed one, and there doesn’t seem to be a four-bed option despite what they say. The lockers are tiny and should be replaced, ideally with a bigger room for them. The hostel could use renovations and better lighting. Honestly, if you find somewhere more modern, even one with six or eight beds, I’d pick that instead.

Guests deserve better treatment for what they pay. The rooms sometimes have no light, and the bathrooms may lack hot water and proper locks, but the administrators don’t seem to care. Police show up far too often for different reasons. The two administrators are guys from Latin America who smoke weed in the morning and seem to hate their jobs. Emanuel is aggressive and sexually abusive towards women. Jesus is careless and too lazy to work.

The rooftop terrace was our favorite spot, with a beautiful view and room to chat, smoke, or whatever. We also met wonderful people and had a lot of fun during our stay. The room was comfortable, the location was perfect, and the staff were lovely. The main manager especially made us feel welcome, such a friendly, interesting, genuine person. Everyone working there was open and helpful, replied quickly, and made sure we had what we needed. We absolutely loved it and would like to come back someday. Thanks, bro ✌️

The night was frightening. People ran up and down the corridors, yelling, screaming and fighting. One man was beaten and screamed terribly; we heard glass breaking and things being thrown. Someone eventually came, apparently kicked him out, cleaned up, and things went quiet. We barely slept after that. We didn’t know exactly what was happening, but I don’t blame the hotel, which was fine. The place itself was clean, with large clean bathrooms, hot water from the taps, and a cozy room with very comfortable beds. It’s a lovely old Canarian-style hotel on a beautiful street, close to the center. There are nice terraces, one non-smoking and two for smokers, plus everything we needed, including a fridge and oven. Jenni opened the door, showed us around, and was friendly and helpful. You can hear almost every noise through the room door and window. We managed to close them well enough to sleep, so it wasn’t a big problem for us, but anyone more sensitive to noise will need earplugs.

At 2 am I was wandering around Las Palmas trying to find somewhere else to stay, which ended up costing me 60Euro. I’d arrived after midnight, exhausted from the long trip to Canary Islands, and found dozens of big BEDBUGS crawling all over my body. Some were about 7-8mm. I tried to stay because I was so tired, spraying myself and the bed with mosquito spray, but it did nothing. Ten minutes later they were all over me, and staying awake seemed better than being eaten alive. The service didn’t speak English, and it was very loud, with people playing music, watching videos, and talking loudly even at 1 am. Have some respect for yourself and book somewhere else. It’s not medieval times anymore. I gave two stars instead of one because they refunded my money even though I’d just left the room without asking. I only wanted to get out.
