The apartment had a big terrace where we liked spending time, a large double bed that was pretty comfortable, and a good shower. The TV was a decent size, and the jacuzzi was temperamental at first but worked amazingly afterwards. The receptionists were kind and helpful. Noise was a real issue. The walls are so thin you can hear people moving around upstairs and downstairs. Most nights were quiet, but Friday and Saturday brought music, singing and dancing. The apartment WiFi was poor, and the area didn’t meet my expectations, though the city and beach were both walkable. Cleaning was every other day, and Sundays weren’t always included, so over seven nights our room was cleaned only twice. One day they’d arranged cleaning for noon, so we went out, but when we returned at 1:50 the cleaner was outside smoking and wanted to come in. She was rude when we said we needed 15 minutes to get ready before heading out again. One night there was a stampede outside the accommodation involving two rival gangs, with what sounded like gunshots. I told the accommodation, but got no response. There’s also a lot of graffiti telling nomads and tourists to “go home”. The rest of the island is suffering a migrant problem, with thousands arriving per week. I’d avoid Las Palmas entirely and choose another Canary island.

The location is the best part: right in the middle of Las Canteras Promenade, so it’s easy to reach both ends of the beach, plus shops, restaurants and pubs. I’ve stayed at this hotel three times and will definitely come back. The staff are friendly and very nice. The rooms are clean and pleasant, and the kitchen has the utensils you need. Cleaning came every two or three days, which was fine for us.

The apartment was spotless, the kitchen had what I needed for simple meals, the WiFi was reliable, and the balcony was nice. The location is handy for the beach, plenty of bus routes across the city, and lots of places to eat and drink. There can be street noise, though, and residents across the street seemed to watch the balcony constantly. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable, and there was little to no reception staff after early afternoon. I left our key in a lockbox, but they took three days to “check me in”, which felt odd since I was only staying four nights. If a hard bed and some noise from the rooms or street don’t bother you, it could work. I need a comfortable bed next time.

Good value for a solo traveller, and the staff were pleasant and helpful. The place was clean and well located, but felt very plasticky, and the floors had damp material. There wasn’t any privacy. Please add net curtains. It’s fine for a night or two, but I wouldn’t stay longer. Thanks.
