Casa Rural Bentazar

We came in at 2:45 p.m. hoping to get something to eat. We asked politely, and the waiter glanced at his watch before hesitantly saying they were fully booked. That was surprising, since the dining room was large, with just four tables occupied, three of them by couples, and the spacious terrace was completely empty. The excuse was hard to understand. A huge disappointment, and we expected friendlier, more hospitable service. It felt as though their interest in serving us had faded before the service itself did.

The setting is beautiful and peaceful, and we had an incredible meal. Amaia is a fantastic cook and baker, while Arturo was kind, attentive, and clearly cares about his customers. We'll definitely be back.

We only stopped in for lunch, and it was delicious. The food was prepared with skill and passion, mostly from local ingredients, and served with exceptional professionalism.

The kids had a great time on the swing and in the garden, so we adults could sit back and enjoy lunch. Arturo and Amaya were so kind and funny with us. We arrived late without a reservation, but the service was still wonderful. The homemade food felt original, and the menu was both delicious and generous. The cook is excellent, and the atmosphere was fantastic. We’ll definitely come back.
