AC Hotel León San Antonio by Marriott

The staff were very helpful, and breakfast had enough variety for everyone. We only ate breakfast there. The hotel is well placed, with interesting tourist attractions a short distance away. Parking costs €13.50, though if you arrive after 6pm, you might find a space in front of the hotel for just €1.50 until the next morning.

For the price, it's generally a good hotel, with rooms in decent condition and nice staff. I chose it specifically because it was one of the few options with a gym, and that part was disappointing. Hotel gyms are often limited, but this one was missing half the weights from the rack and wasn't useful for my needs.

For what it costs, it could be worse, but the hotel feels worn out and urgently needs updating. It could also use a proper clean. The entrance photos I took show cigarette butts scattered all over the floor.

I enjoyed my second stay at AC Hotel Leon San Antonio just as much as the first, and I'd return. The service is friendly and efficient, and the rooms are very clean. Hardwood floors make sound carry, though they also give the rooms a clean feel. It's in a residential area, around a 10-15 minute walk from the historic centre and just a few minutes from a river with paths for walking, jogging or cycling, as well as spots to sit and enjoy the day. The AC Lounge downstairs serves breakfast and other meals throughout the day. Upstairs, the fitness room has two spin bikes, a treadmill, an elliptical and free weights, plus a Turkish bath, or steam room.
