Albergue Alda Pilgrim León

It's very central, but for 14 euro I expected a bit more.

We were the only two pilgrims there for two warm days during our pilgrimage, since many hostels had closed because of COVID. The place has about five rooms, each with four bunk beds, so we had the whole facility to ourselves. Heating only came on for short periods, but they provided a small electric heater in case we got cold, and we stayed warm thanks to it. The facilities are modern, with two shower rooms and two toilets separated by gender. There was a kitchen, but it couldn't be used because of COVID. The living room was large, with four big, comfortable sofas. There was also a washing machine and dryer. It cost €4.30 each. I had bought bottled beer at the supermarket and needed a bottle opener. I asked, and they brought one from the kitchen for me to use. We were very comfortable here. The location was convenient too, close to León Cathedral and several supermarkets. Thank you.

It's a brand-new, super comfortable hostel with excellent value for money. The bathrooms and showers are new and comfortable too. There's a common area and a small kitchen, though it's a shame there's no stovetop. Since it's in the city centre among lots of bars, noise is a downside. We could even hear music from the bar next door.

The staff were really kind and diligent, and the interior is stylish, warm, and comfortable. The Wi-Fi works so well, and being a new building, everything is clean and brand new. Even the laundry comes out smelling like sherry, haha. The facilities are seriously better than a hotel, though there's no induction cooktop. It's an awesome place and I personally recommend it. Since it's so good, it does cost more than other places.
