Globetrotter Hostel

For 15 euro, this is a great place. The desk staff were very helpful, and the bed was comfortable with real sheets and a pillowcase. They provide a towel and gel. The showers are big with lots of hot water, though the bathroom is hard to be discreet in. There's a large common room and a small kitchen that's enough to cook a meal. I hadn't realized the Cathedral was just down the block.

This was the filthiest, nastiest hostel I've visited, and I wouldn't stay here again even if I were paid €18. It isn't worth €18. The toilets had yellow stains running down the walls and door, showers had black mold, and the soap and paper were empty. There were only two toilets for men and two for women for what seemed like about 40 beds, and the men's bathroom toilet wouldn't even close properly. My bed was dirty, with no cleaning between guests. The place was loud and the rooms weren't isolated at all. This place is a scam. I can guarantee the only reason its rating is over 4 is that the owners buy reviews to manipulate it. Avoid at all costs.

No curfew, big showers, a nice kitchen, and plenty of room to relax. You even get real towels, sheets, and pillowcases. What are you pelugrinos waiting for? There's a pharmacy and mercado 100 meters away. Great value for travellers.

The location is amazing, right by the cathedral in the heart of all the activity. There are plenty of shops around, and if you look carefully, you can find almost anything you need. Just be cautious with Google listings and double-check that the place is actually a business and that the information is current. I needed a computer power supply cord because one of my USB bricks runs off it and can switch between US and European power. It was really hard to find one, partly because I started looking on a Sunday. The places listed as open were clearly not real stores, since some were marked open 24/7. There were other inconsistencies too, and when I went to some listings, there was no storefront at all, just an apartment building or an apartment inside one.
