The room was spacious and clean, and the price was reasonable. It's in a nice part of Leon, with a laundry place nearby and a good supermarket. Breakfast is included, prepared the afternoon you arrive, so you can pick it up whenever you're leaving in the morning. I recommend it if you want a good night's rest in a room without too many other people. The lovely woman at reception was amazing and helped me get my walking poles back after I forgot them at the hostal.

Close to the pub area, which is great.

We walked in to a stale, musty smell, and the whole place was filthy: hallways, reception, common room, and rooms. I had to wipe up dried drops left by the previous guest in the bathroom. The towels were dirty and dusty, and dirty sheets sat piled in the hallway. The so-called breakfast was in a disgusting fridge, with open milk and juice to heat in a microwave that seemed to do what it wanted. I don't consider myself squeamish, but this was inexcusable. We complained by phone and got very nice words, but nobody took responsibility.

We booked a week ahead, and for the price it was okay. The room was dusty, with dust bunnies constantly around, and there was no bathroom soap apart from hand soap. Even in summer, the water took 10 minutes to get lukewarm.
