We had a lovely stay, and the breakfast was very reasonably priced. It was simple, with good ingredients, and the service in the morning was fantastic. The staff were polite, professional, and attentive. The home has an elegant but relaxed, cozy feel, and the other guests were respectful. We were offered a choice of two available rooms on arrival. Ours was upstairs on the second floor, with access to the side and back yard. Parking was included and felt secure. The host was kind and helped sort out a small TV issue, which made for a pleasant interaction. It's in a quiet neighborhood. There's a café by the local park about three minutes away, where we had dinner. The beach is around 10-15 minutes away on foot, though we didn't get to walk there. We also didn't have time to use the pool. We'll definitely return on our next trip to Spain. From Albuquerque, NM, Bob and Cristal highly recommend making the drive. It felt like a perfect home away from home.

We had to arrange somewhere else to stay for the night because, when we called on arrival day, the hotel said our room had been given to other guests. They said we hadn't confirmed, which wasn't true. The man and woman on the phone were unfriendly and called it a miscommunication. We'd emailed the day before arriving and got a reply saying, “YOUR RESERVATION CAN CURRENTLY BE ACCEPTED.” We then asked if we could add another night, but got no response. That email clearly confirmed our reservation.

The owner was so kind and helpful. When we couldn't get a cab, he even drove us back to Laredo. The house and garden were lovely, and everything was clean and nice. We stayed one night last summer and found it perfect, with a really classy feel. We'd happily come back sometime and definitely recommend it.
