The food stalls upstairs have lots of choices and delicious tapas, so it’s a great spot to try different Spanish flavors in one place. Downstairs, the supermarket has quality local products like jamón ibérico, pulpo (octopus), and anchoas (anchovies), packaged well for taking on a flight. A lovely mix of food, atmosphere, and local tradition right in the heart of Madrid. Definitely worth a visit.

There’s a restaurant on the top floor, a great range of meats and cheeses on the first floor, and lots of tapas stalls on the second. Awesome place!

Nice Mercado, with good tapas options upstairs and plenty of table and counter seating. There are toilets, but you need the code printed at the bottom of your bill from one of the tapas places, so keep hold of it.

The food stands were spot on, and the whole lunch was amazing. I was nearby and decided to stop in. It felt much less crowded than San Miguel, too. Loved it!

These markets are great for picking up a snack or simply spending some time, and this one had a lovely atmosphere and good shopping options. I did find it a little expensive, though. One tapa is €2.
