David was so friendly and available whenever we needed him. When the washing machine gave us trouble, he did our laundry and brought in a replacement. We had a lovely week at La Higar. The two-bedroom apartment was roomy, with a fully equipped kitchen and shutters throughout. The boys were disappointed they couldn’t play football in the big, beautiful garden, but those are the rules. The house is surrounded by nature, with Nueva’s restaurants and supermarket a 10-minute drive away. Surf Skull is also about 10 minutes away, and there’s a beach bar on the beach. Playa de Guadamía and Playa de las Cuevas are nearby too. Thanks, David, we had a wonderful time. Highly recommended!

We still haven’t been told what condition the gate was in, even though he says we broke it and showed us a recording before the sample. Our deposit still hasn’t been returned. They kept deposits without proper justification or invoices for the repairs they said were needed. The rules arrived just two days before we were due to arrive and ruled out almost all children’s games. We probably wouldn’t have gone if we’d known, and many of the gardens were practically unusable. They constantly monitored what was happening. I wouldn’t recommend it for families. About your reply, the house rules weren’t on the websites we checked. If they had been, we wouldn’t have booked. We arrived two days early and had no chance to cancel. Sending them to homes is easy, since the postal service is working normally, but they could also have sent them digitally beforehand, as they did. I still don’t know where to exercise my rights of access, rectification, erasure, and objection regarding the recordings they make.

David was quick to help with whatever came up, including a problem with the lock. He’s a really nice guy. The apartments are clean, the beds are comfortable, and the views of the Picos de Europa are incredible. It’s quiet, with a well-kept garden where you can relax on summer evenings, and you can use the barbecues whenever you like. There’s private parking for guests. La Pesa bar-restaurant nearby has excellent food and a great atmosphere, and Bufones de Pría is a 20-minute walk away. We had a great stay last week and will be back. Highly recommended.

We stayed here this summer with a large group. The facilities are beautiful, but we only found out 48 hours beforehand that the children would have very little freedom to play on the property. We’d have looked elsewhere if we’d known. We felt our children were treated as if they were bothering the owners, and our deposit for one house was kept over alleged fence damage they couldn’t prove. Was there a photo? Were there security cameras recording us without consent? We’ve filed a lawsuit against the establishment over numerous irregularities and hired a lawyer. From other reviews, collecting deposits in unorthodox ways seems to be the owners’ modus operandi. I absolutely wouldn’t recommend these apartments if you don’t want to be scammed, and certainly NEVER GO WITH CHILDREN. The owner’s manner and communication were incredibly difficult, rude, and unpleasant. UPDATE: This person has no limits. In their reply to my review, as with all the negative ones, they accuse us of “new” damage and other things that are simply lies. We found the apartments so unpleasant that we barely spent time there. The children only played ball in the parking lot. One day, the woman even faked an anxiety attack at 9:59 PM because the children were still there and had to stop playing at 10 PM so they wouldn’t disturb anyone. We were hardly in the apartments at all, just going there to sleep. You can check your security cameras. Don’t worry so much, David. You’ve committed numerous illegal acts, and the authorities will put you in your place. If they don’t, your customers will. Time will tell.
