Casa el Cuetu

We spent four days exploring the area with two friends, and the terrace was a lovely place for a drink or meal after walking in the mountains or by the beach. The house is quaint, cosy, comfortable, clean, and well equipped with everything needed. Our host was warm and welcoming, and the views from the house are stunning. The local people were friendly and helpful, too. This peaceful village is ideal for a restful holiday. El Cueto is wonderfully placed as a gateway to the spectacular Los Picos mountains and the beautiful Asturias coastline. I fully recommend a stay at Masha’s lovely little home.

The quiet village, friendly locals, and spectacular views made for a wonderful four days in El Cuetu. The house was clean, cosy, and comfortable, with a patio for BBQs and an aperitif after busy days out. It's brilliantly situated between the sea and mountains, and the snow-peaked mountains of Los Picos were especially beautiful. I'll come back!

We slept like babies, and the night sky was a dream. The house is lovely, traditional Asturian style, and has everything you need. It's so pretty and quiet, and I found a different path to walk every morning. With a car, you can get to beautiful beaches and towns and enjoy delicious local food. Loli, the neighbour, gave us eggs and lemons from her farm. We loved the house and the location and want to come again next year.

The house is full of character, and those creaky floors and small details added to the atmosphere for us. It's clearly older, so you need to be comfortable with that, and there are a few broken windows. Still, we thoroughly enjoyed staying there. It's peaceful, friendly, and surrounded by lovely flowers, nature, and wide-open views, like stepping back in time. We found it clean and well equipped with a microwave, washing machine, Nespresso machine, TV, oven, and plenty of cutlery, glasses, and plates. Outside, there's room for a meal or barbecue, and the house has two showers and toilets. Our contact with the host was easy and friendly over WhatsApp in English. From the village you can walk straight into nature, and the central location makes it easy to go anywhere. Parking is available at the house or elsewhere in the village. Groceries are an easy drive away in a nearby village, and even that trip is pleasant. A lovely place to relax and enjoy both the house and its surroundings.
