The bike I rented from them was fine for getting to the beaches, but far too weak for the hills. There was no fridge, which Spanish hotels almost always seem to have, and there was no room service on the second night. I’d asked for a room with a nice view but ended up on the wrong side, looking at a parking lot with no sun, even though plenty of rooms were available when I booked. It would be okay for one night, but not three days.

The terrace is great, the service is friendly, and the rooms are clean and modern. Breakfast is served in what used to be a chapel. It’s a really nice hotel at the top of town. They say it’s three star, but to me it feels more like four or five. Highly recommend.

We’ve stayed in lots of hotels while walking the Camino, and Hotel Paco really stood out. The room was lovely and clean, the bed comfortable, the shower pressure great, and breakfast was cracking. Highly recommended!

We came back in 2025 after enjoying our 2023 stay, and somehow liked it even more. The staff are so friendly and work incredibly hard. We later stayed at four- and five-star hotels in Bilbao, San Sebastián and Pamplona, but this was still our favourite. The Gourmet breakfast and dinner were both excellent and great value. We don't often revisit places, but we love this part of Spain, and The Don Paco would be our first choice if we do. The hotel is very clean and comfortable, and the restaurant serves high-quality food with great service at a reasonable price. Our room had no air conditioning, but its thick walls and open windows during the cooler parts of the day kept us comfortable even in the hot, sunny August weather.

The town and beach are an easy walk away. The staff were efficient and really helpful, and we slept very comfortably in the bed. A lovely hotel.
