The harbor view was the one good thing here, and the woman serving tea in the evening was the only friendly person. The beds were banana-shaped and the bathroom was disgusting. The whole place felt pathetic, and I don’t understand its three-star rating or how it’s still open. At check-in, one of the two very rude reception men couldn’t find our room key and acted as if we’d taken it, then gave us a key to another room. The other man also served breakfast and had no customer service manner. The breakfast was stale, and the sugar was wet and stuck together. When I pointed it out, he tossed another stale one on the table, as if doing us a favor. Don’t waste your time here.

The hotel and room felt dated, like they hadn’t changed since the 60s. Still, the view was breathtaking, the location perfect, and the service excellent. We were there in mid September, so not having air conditioning didn’t bother us. No hotel in Llanes has it.

We barely slept because of the street noise and drunk guests coming back to the hotel until 04:30 on a Monday night. The central location comes with a lot of noise. The place looked very tired and old-fashioned, with 1970s bathrooms and furnishings, and the internet was poor. Staff were okay, but not especially friendly. Parking was terrible: it took 30 minutes to find a spot in a far-away neighborhood. It felt highly overpriced, especially with breakfast not included.
