Hotel Apartamentos Picu Castiellu

A quiet little hideaway, with rustic wooden apartments. The owner’s super friendly and helpful. There’s a garden, barbecue and swings for the kids, and Llanes is only five minutes away. Works perfectly for two, three or four people.

There’s room for a second bedroom here, which is handy for the price and means you don’t have to rely on a sofa bed. It’s a good family option, peaceful, with lovely views and still very close to Llanes. The kitchen’s small but has plenty of equipment, and the utensils are fairly new. The porch is nice even in the rain, if it’s warm enough.

We arrived late and were welcomed without any problem. The hostess was wonderful, and the cottage had what we needed for a few days, including a toaster, coffee maker, pots and pans. The beds were comfortable, and the little porch was lovely for breakfast or an afternoon beer. The location made it easy to explore Asturias and Cantabria, about an hour from both Oviedo and Santander. Llanes is very close for supermarkets, bakeries, fishmongers and butchers, while the accommodation still has the calm of a small village. A magnificent place, and we’ll speak highly of it.

We loved it. The place was spotless and in an idyllic setting, and they treated us so well. We’ll be back as soon as we can.
