La Farola del Mar

The room looked straight onto the restaurant below, which was crowded and noisy. People were smoking just outside my window, and the smoke kept coming into the room. I couldn't open the curtains for fresh air because diners could see right in, like we were in an aquarium. There was no privacy for me and my child, and we felt uncomfortable and unsafe, so I decided not to stay. I'd booked through Booking.com and asked for a refund less than 30 minutes after arriving, but the hotel refused to return the full amount I'd paid. It was disappointing and frustrating, and ruined what should have been a pleasant stay.

The hosts were very welcoming, and the beach is lovely. The food was amazing, and I slept well in a very comfortable bed in a nicely decorated room. This place is quite off the beaten track, but well worth visiting.

It's a lovely spot beside beautiful Playa del Pool. When we came for lunch it was very busy, and the service felt chaotic, which is understandable at peak times, but the staff also seemed quite unfriendly. Prices felt high for the portion sizes.

The location was great, but pretty much everything else was terrible. The staff seemed uninterested, things were broken, and it was dirty. The food was decent, but wildly overpriced.
