Cal Mateuet

A lovely place in the heart of Cerdanya, with charming people and a real sense of peace and comfort. The views of Cadí are the best!

The house was okay, nothing special. It had a small terrace and the rooms looked out toward the Cadí mountain range. The main downside was that the barbecue had to be set up where we and guests from the other houses parked our cars, instead of on our terrace. We paid €550 for two nights, yet firewood for the fireplace cost €7 per bundle. Since the fireplaces are part of what makes these houses appealing, it would have been nice to get a couple of bundles included and pay for more only if we ran out. It was quite peaceful otherwise, but you have to watch out outside because the neighbors let their dogs roam freely, and some aren't friendly.

The surroundings, timing, house, and especially our hostess Lurdes were all excellent. It was a white Christmas to remember. Thanks, Lurdes. Highly recommended!

The owner was pleasant and easy to deal with. We were surprised to find the house was even better than the photos suggested, and everything was very clean and well maintained. It's a large house in Travesseres with two levels: three bedrooms upstairs, and the kitchen, living room, and laundry room downstairs. I highly recommend it.
