The room was much smaller than the ones shown on the hotel website, and had a serious humidity problem that seemed to have gone unfixed for ages. The mountain view mentioned in the reservation turned out to be a pool under construction and a row of A/Cs right below the balcony. On top of that, there was extremely loud construction work directly above our room all weekend. It began at 8.15 on Saturday morning and carried on until 6pm. When we asked what could be done, the receptionist said the driveway above the room wasn’t theirs and didn’t look into a solution or any kind of compensation. There was no hairdryer in the room when we arrived. The receptionist said there should be one, then left at the end of his shift. We had to ask again the next morning, and they fetched one from another room. They also first tried to charge us more than Expedia had confirmed. When we raised the difference, they said Expedia’s discount was out of their control. Only after Expedia stepped in did they agree to the legally binding confirmed price. All in all, an extremely disappointing stay. The staff showed no empathy and made no real effort to make things comfortable or offer compensation for the noise.

We came as four friends for a weekend in Cerdanya, mainly to switch off. The hotel made that easy: it’s peaceful, surrounded by nature, and close to the area’s main ski resorts. The mountain views from our quiet, comfortable rooms were lovely, and the temperature indoors stayed comfortable despite the cold outside. Everything feels recently renovated, with modern facilities that are kept in excellent shape and still feel welcoming. Breakfast had plenty of good-quality choices, and the coffee was especially good compared with what you often get at other hotels. We thought the stay was very good value and would happily come back.

We had a wonderful weekend at Hotel Llivia and plan to return. The hotel is in a great spot, with parking right there. The recent renovation shows, and our room had good air conditioning and a new, comfortable mattress. At breakfast, we enjoyed the views along with a big choice of cold cuts, bread, pastries, juice, and fruit. The coffee was excellent, too. Thanks to the whole team for all their hard work and kindness.
