La Palmera & Spa Hotel

We had a great vacation and I can’t wait to come back to La Palmera & Spa. I’ve seen a lot of bad comments, but this was my experience. The food was delicious and varied, with plenty of vegetarian options. I had the best kebab ever! The pool is shallow and child friendly, with good sunbeds, and the bar prices were reasonable. Inside, the hotel is beautiful and has a calm, zen feel. It’s one street from the center and about a five minute walk to the beach. I stayed with my mom and sister in a room for three. The beds were really comfortable, though some extra space for our things would have helped. The room was cleaned daily and smelled really nice. The whole hotel was clean every day. Big shoutout to the cleaning staff, such a great team! All the staff were friendly and helpful, always greeting us with a big smile. They’re lovely people. Thank you for everything!

The location was handy, near popular attractions and public transport, but it couldn’t make up for the rest of the stay. The building felt old and deteriorated as soon as we entered the lobby, and there seemed to be little maintenance. Service was indifferent, and the food options were uninspiring. The biggest problem was having no air conditioning in the room. In the heat, it was hard to relax or sleep, and it felt like management had ignored basic guest comfort. This fell well short of a satisfactory stay. I can’t recommend it to travelers looking for comfort and quality. Significant improvements are needed.

For this price, I’d put this among the best hotels. The pool was one of the prettiest I’ve seen, and both it and the jacuzzi were cleaned every day. There’s also a sauna and hammam as a bonus. The food covered seafood, different meats, vegetables, fruit, and desserts kept in the fridge. Tea, coffee, water, and juice were free at breakfast, while drinks at lunch and dinner cost extra. Everything was very clean, and the staff were friendly and kind. We were lucky to have quiet neighbors, and things stayed civilized. If I had the chance, I’d definitely come back.

Amaya at the front desk was fantastic, and we had a good stay overall. The room was acceptable, very basic but fairly clean. One bathroom towel had a big yellow stain, which was unpleasant, though the others were fine. There’s a pool out front, plus a bar and sauna, and the location is pretty good for walking to the beach and tourist areas. Parking was the main hassle. It costs €20 a day, and there’s so little parking nearby that it felt like we had to pay unless we wanted to drive around looking for half an hour. They also require a €20 cash deposit for some reason.
