San Juan Park

We had a wonderful holiday here, and for the price it was really good for me and my girlfriend. The location is great, the staff are nice, and we liked both breakfast and dinner, though the food wasn't very varied and got boring after a few days. The rooms are tiny and rather bare, with no air conditioning or in-room Wi-Fi, and the streets are noisy. In summer it gets so hot that you have to leave the windows open at night, so you'll probably wake up several times. If you're out all day and only come back tired at night, it could work perfectly well for you.

I wouldn't sleep here unless I was absolutely sure the hotel was clean. I'd already read about bugs from someone who'd stayed a few days earlier, and on arrival I found one under my pillow. Reception moved me to another room, but after checking the beds there too, I didn't want to sleep in the sheets. I put towels over the bed and slept under my beach towel, the one I only use for sleeping. I'm still covered in bedbug bites and itching like hell. The man at reception didn't take me seriously. I think this hotel is a real health threat. I haven't even mentioned the noise problems at night.

Never again. The hotel was really dirty and unusually noisy. I could hear every word from the next room, along with loud sex and people smoking marihuana. There was sand in my bed, and both the room and bathroom were dirty. While I was asleep, I got bitten in bed. I told reception, and he said that sometimes happens. After two days I asked to move rooms, but I was still bitten, though less often. I think it was bedbugs or lice. Once I got home, I had severe itching all over my body for seven days, a whole week. I'm glad the bites and itching have stopped now. A very bad hotel.

Stay well away. This is the worst hotel ever and shouldn't even have one star. The person at the desk was rude. There's definitely no air conditioning, and even the front desk person had a fan to keep cool. Don't bother with breakfast. Tramps at home have better food out of bins.
