Apartamento Logroño Catedral

We had a terrible experience. There was no heating on the first night, and the next day our stay was interrupted while they fixed the radiator. Even afterward, it couldn't get the apartment warm enough. There wasn't a proper table where we could comfortably eat breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The only option was a folding table with folding chairs, and once it was set up, we couldn't get into the kitchen. We could hear the people in the other apartment as though they were in ours. We were given a second-floor apartment with no elevator. To be clear, each floor has two flights of stairs, not one, so it felt like climbing to the fourth floor. We used the small balcony for smoking, then were told it smelled of smoke and charged a 100 euro penalty. Other tenants had stayed there between our departure and the complaint, so I think they may have been trying to make some extra money. Finally, the free parking they recommended didn't feel safe at all. Someone tried to break into our car.

The apartment itself is small, clean, and well equipped with linens and towels, and the heating works well. But the central location, opposite the cathedral, turned out to be a nightmare. The owner insists the soundproofing is excellent, but it really isn't. Bars in the square and a kebab shop below the bedroom balcony draw people from around Logroño from 2:00 AM onward. During Carnival, the shouting and noise went on past 6:00 AM. I didn't sleep a wink. Then, an hour later, cafes start setting up their terraces, including one right below the apartment. Stalls also appear in the square selling all sorts of trinkets and antiques. That's the tradeoff of staying in the very center. If you sleep well, maybe it'll suit you. I won't be back.

The apartment felt like home, with a modern, cozy design, spotless rooms, and plenty of comfort. Its spot on Logroño's cathedral square made it easy to reach the main sights on foot. The owner was quick to respond and wonderfully attentive.

We'd happily stay here again. The building has no elevator, which was the one small downside, but the apartment was well soundproofed and had very good air conditioning. Inside, the space is arranged efficiently and feels especially comfortable for a couple. It’s right across from the cathedral in central Logroño, close to Calle Laurel and Gran Vía, with both free and paid parking nearby.
