The campsite is only a 15-minute walk from Logrono’s centre, and the toilets and showers are good and cleaned regularly. Pitches are level, though a little small. There’s no bar or restaurant on site, but a few are just outside the gate. Wi-Fi only reaches near the office.

The bungalow’s shower heater wasn’t working, and the service was horrible. For what it cost, the quality was poor. Worst camping experience I’ve had. I’ll never go back.

If you’re looking for peace and quiet, stay away. People were having loud barbecue parties after 10 pm and well past midnight, with music and rowdy behavior. This place seems to welcome stag and hen parties, and it’s not suitable for kids or campers wanting a proper, polite holiday. When I called the person in charge after 11 pm, they said it was normal. Unreal. I won’t come back to this helliday campsite.

The toilets and showers are good, and town is walkable. Tent pitches are dry and sandy, with hedges, and pegs can be managed. There’s also a building with a fridge and other things. But Camino pilgrims should avoid weekends here. A group of probably 40 men arrived ready for a long session, cooking, playing music and making a lot of noise, despite signs asking people not to play music. I was less than 10 metres from the party, trying to sleep in my tent. Parties were all over the site, and I couldn’t find a quiet spot. It was midnight at best before things might settle down. Great if you’ve come to party, not so much if you’re used to the pilgrim routine and need to get up early.

The staff were very friendly, and it’s a bonus that you can walk to the town centre. Showers and the wash area were good, but there was nowhere to do dishes, so people were washing them in the toilet area. Our 6.4-metre campervan pitch was barely longer than the van, and the route through the site is tight for larger vehicles. Facilities are a bit hard to reach, too. We held up another vehicle while filling with water, so good manoeuvring skills are needed. The pitch was damp and shady, which must be nice in hot sunny weather, but after the rain it was hard not to track grit inside. This was the dearest campsite we used in Spain, double what we’d usually been paying. Laundry cost 4 euros for a wash and 4 euros for each of two drying cycles. At our previous campsite, laundry was included in the 16 euros we paid.
