Pensión Saint Mateo

The staff were welcoming and helpful, and the room was quiet, comfortable, and clean. Pension Saint Mateo is good value in Logroño and suited my short stay well. I recommend it.

Really good value, with excellent service and information. Everything was clean, including the two modern bathrooms shared by five rooms. The bathroom is outside the room, and I wished there'd been a chair or table for my things. The bedside lamp didn't work at first, but they fixed it straight away.

Mercedes greeted us with real courtesy and was a wonderful host, keen to explain the nearby tourist areas. The guesthouse was tidy and very clean, and the comfortable rooms were quiet. Bathrooms were modern and hygienic, with shampoo and shower gel provided. It felt like a 3-star hotel to us, and the location was very convenient, near three supermarkets and a café offering breakfast for €7 for two. It was an unforgettable stay for us. Thank you, we will recommend them.

The owner is an elegant, very kind lady. She doesn't speak English, but a translator works fine. I rested really well on the Camino in a private room, warm with the radiator despite the chilly weather. The room was incredibly clean, as were the bedding and shared bathrooms. There are two bathrooms for the rooms, so they feel almost private, and fresh towels are provided every day. The tapas street is a 10-minute walk away, with plenty of large supermarkets on the way. The one drawback is the main-road traffic, though it was much better than the snoring at other albergues. Highly recommended if you need a private room and a proper rest.
