Hotel Los Bracos by Silken

After a week walking the Camino, a day of rest here was just what we needed. The price was reasonable, and our sixth-floor room had crisp, clean sheets, a minibar, a bidet, a hot shower, and a great view. We could hear the street, but it didn't bother us. The hotel has rooms facing the street with views but more noise, or quieter rooms at the back. We picked the view. It's a wonderful hotel in a perfect location, right across from Calle Del Laurel, known for pintxos hopping.

The location is good, but I wouldn't recommend this hotel. Management tells guests to guard their belongings and watch out for strangers in the building, which seems odd. There was also a false fire alarm early in the morning. It felt strange that nobody left the premises and there was no follow-up from emergency services or the fire brigade.

The reception staff were pleasant, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. We had a large room and a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was spacious, with both a shower and a bath, just what we needed after a day on the Camino.

The reception staff were helpful and had a sense of humor, and the room was clean. Breakfast was a classic Spanish one. The hotel is centrally located near restaurants and bars, but ask for a quiet room if you go. The lift mechanism was extremely loud and woke me every few minutes, even though I normally sleep deeply. It was in use most of the night, and by then it was too late to change rooms.
