Pensión Belchite

The hostess Elisa was the worst part. She was rude to us throughout the stay, except when it was time to pay. The bathroom was dirty, the facilities were old and in poor condition, the beds were uncomfortable, and the windows were hard to open. I’d never recommend this place.

Breakfast is served in a glass-fronted café in the park next door, a cosy and peaceful spot. Not having breakfast at the guesthouse sounded like a downside, but it worked out well. The place is elegant and well cared for, right in central Logroño. The owner was genuinely friendly and quickly sorted out a small room booking issue. Our room was clean, spacious, and well maintained, and the two shared bathrooms were fairly new and clean too.

The location is very good and the rooms were clean, but ours was right by the bathroom, so we heard everything. It’s fine if all you need is somewhere to sleep, but don’t expect more. We were a bit surprised by the price, which felt high for a private apartment turned into a guesthouse. Nothing special.

We were eight friends, and the rooms were meant to be triples, but an extra bed was squeezed into each one. There was barely room to move, and then they rented another room at our expense, taking advantage of the situation. There were no wardrobes, no extra towels, and the toilet paper wasn’t changed. We got just one towel for the whole weekend. The bed was dirty and uncomfortable, and the manager treated us appallingly and degradingly. I’d never go back or recommend it.
