I hadn’t booked, but the host met me and arranged everything. Next time I’ll book through the website or booking. The place was easy to reach from the street on the way from Logroño to Navarrete. My room had a shared bathroom, which was fine. I think only two or three rooms shared the facilities, and I had no trouble showering or using the toilet. The room and bed were first class, really comfortable, and I slept well. While doing my laundry, I ran into the owner at the launderette two minutes up the road. The café beside it was very cheap and had delicious tapas. Thank you.

I had to wait outside for 30 minutes because the owner messaged that check-in wasn’t until 4pm. I was given a single room. It was okay, and the washroom was very nice, but the sheets were stained, so I used my sleeping bag instead. The room faced a courtyard in the complex, so it was quiet and I slept really well.

It was a basic place to sleep, just as described, and I thought it was nice. If you can’t call ahead to say you’re on your way, arrive about 30 minutes before check-in so the cleaning staff can let you in. I got lucky.

The only snag was finding the entrance. It’s inside an apartment block, with no sign outside, just a small sticker on the doorbell, and the Spanish address system can be confusing. Once inside, though, it was clean and very nice, with a simple layout and everything within walking distance.
