Pensión La Estación

The room was spotless and I slept comfortably, even though you can hear some noise from nearby rooms. The host was lovely and went out of her way to arrange an early check-in for me.

We didn't get much rest during either of our two nights, and I wouldn't recommend staying here. Our booking confirmation said double bed and balcony, but the room we got had two single beds and no balcony. Construction was right outside the interior-facing window, so we couldn't open it because of the dust and workers. There was no ventilation or even a fan, and we weren't told about the construction until we were in the room. From 8 a.m. there was hammering, on top of footsteps, slamming doors, and luggage being dragged around. The shared bathroom had no toilet paper, and there was no way to ask for more except by phone, which meant roaming charges for us. The kitchen, supposedly included, was closed most of the time, so we couldn't use it. Nobody had mentioned an extra laundry charge either, but they wanted €10 for us to do our own washing and didn't provide detergent. There was no sign about the fee. The woman who greeted us was nice, but the reservation details weren't complete. Parking was awful to find unless you paid, despite the listing saying parking was available. There are nicer places in the area.

The rooms were clean, and the staff were really friendly. There was WiFi and a couple of small vending machines too.
