Hotel Jardines de la Santa

When I had an emergency during my stay, manager Juan Carlos went far beyond what he had to do to help me. His kindness made the hotel feel like a home away from home. Thank you so much. I'll never forget your help.

The room needed attention. The shower and bath had dirt around the edges, and the decor felt tired, though the bedroom was a little better and had a nice view. The gardens were neat, and the scenery around the hotel was majestic and peaceful. We enjoyed sitting in the cafe/bar, especially the outdoor area, and the barman was very friendly. Dinner was good, even though the restaurant was almost empty and felt more like a conference space. We also made use of the small gym, which had decent weights and benches.

We couldn't sleep because party music was blasting on the patio right below our room until midnight. For a hotel set on a former monastery site in the Sierra Nevada wilderness, that was the last thing we expected. I went to ask three times if they could lower the volume or move us to the other side. They finally agreed to another room at midnight, so we had to pack all our luggage and move then. The new room was far from the party. I don't understand why a hotel like this would allow loud patio parties until midnight.

We came for one night last week with our dog. It was a lovely quiet spot surrounded by nature, and our room was clean and comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were both very good, with good value for money. I'd definitely recommend it.
