Can Dalemus

The housekeeper was very friendly and attentive, and the house had enough room for 10 adults and 5 children. The pool was a little small but usable. The main issue is the price, which feels high given the downsides. The house is very near the railway, so trains can be heard throughout the day, along with planes coming and going from Girona airport. There are only two bathrooms, a small kitchen, no air conditioning, and lots of mosquitoes. Wi-Fi is weak, the dishwasher is rusty and doesn't clean well, and one fridge barely cools. The foosball table costs extra. Some rooms have little furniture, with no wardrobes or bedside tables, and one shower has no tray, so water easily spills across the bathroom. They charge a €600 deposit rather than placing a hold, and return it a few days after the stay.

We had a spectacular three days as a family, and the owners were very friendly and helpful. The house is secluded, with no neighbors, so we could make as much noise as we wanted. The fenced grounds were a big plus with children, and there's plenty to keep everyone occupied: a pool, barbecue area, swing set, board games, and coin-operated foosball. The kitchen has a dishwasher, microwave, two fridges, toaster, Nespresso machine, and hand blender, plus sheets and two towels per bed. The shower water was excellent, and there's a bathroom inside and another by the barbecue area, as well as a second bathroom inside. Our family of 13 stayed from September 11th to 13th. The main drawbacks were the steps between levels downstairs, which made things awkward with our grandmother, and a €600 deposit that seemed high. With so many guests, the fridge space could also be better; two larger fridges might help. We'll be back!

We had our wedding here with 18 friends, and the owners of Can Dalemus were attentive and wonderful. The setting is beautiful, with idyllic scenery. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was fully equipped. There was also a pool, a great BBQ, and foosball. What more could you ask for? We'd definitely return. 100% recommended!

The water isn't drinkable, and the Wi-Fi was tricky to use, with no coverage in the hills nearby. Bring mosquito repellent. For our group of 15, two bathrooms weren't enough, and one had a floor-level shower without a tray. The kitchen was small and had several fridge problems: the freezer door wouldn't close properly, the fridge lost its chill, and it made an annoying beep. Sometimes, even late at night, we had to turn a button off and on. Some dishes were moldy, and the cutlery looked bad enough that we ran it through the dishwasher. The house itself was beautiful and set in nature, with large dining areas inside and out, fans in every room and the indoor dining room, and plenty of outdoor parking. The rooms were okay, but locked closets couldn't be used. One room had four bunk beds that shifted abruptly. The barbecue was interesting, the pool was small, and foosball was paid. There was a locked chicken coop, and we saw wild boars nearby. For the quality, the rental seemed expensive, even though we booked at short notice.
