The rooms are tiny and extremely minimalistic, and room service costs extra. We reported that the windows wouldn't lock and the blinds broke after one use, leaving them unable to roll fully up again, but nobody came. Even with bars on the window frames, things left near a window could have been stolen. Also, if you leave without clicking the check-out button, they'll charge you for it.

The room was clean enough and the metro was nearby, but the listing was way off. It promised a fridge, microwave, and a window overlooking the backyard. We brought food, so not having the fridge was especially annoying. When we asked about the missing features, our questions were ignored. The photos also didn't seem to match what was advertised. The room itself was tiny, the walls were paper-thin, and the door didn't look sturdy. The mobile check-in was a hassle, and you need your phone to open both the building and room doors. Forget it inside and you're stuck. This might do for one night before a flight, but I wouldn't stay here for a proper visit to Madrid.

It’s a very basic place, really just somewhere to sleep, and the room was acceptable. Check-in takes several steps and has to be done before you arrive. You need your phone to get into the hotel, and there’s no one on site to help or discuss a problem with. You can only call or text, so do the check-in well ahead of time. The last step should be “Indications AyZ hotels.” If you get in late, nothing nearby is open. Bring your own food and drinks, since the only thing available there is a water dispenser.

The staff were polite and genuinely helpful, a 10/10 for them. The location worked well too, with a Carrefour market and subway close by, and the street was quiet and discreet. The shared bathrooms were clean, though in the mornings and evenings the floor got covered in water from people showering. One sheet had a washed blood stain by the pillow. Staff changed it only after we insisted. They don't otherwise provide extra towels or replacements unless you pay through the app. The rooms were clean apart from that incident, and the value for money was fair. I'd come back, but book an upgraded room. The phone based door system could be better, since forgetting your phone in the room leaves you wondering how to get back in. It was nice, but far from ideal.

The metro is super close, and this worked as a one-night stop. The double room was very small, fine if you don't plan to work, read, or eat in there. The window wouldn't lock, but it opened onto a locked blind, so it felt safe while leaving the room dark. A towel hook, somewhere in the shower for soap and shampoo, and a shelf or other spot by the sink for a toiletry bag would help. Once we found the right entrance, I remembered to tap the email link to unlock the building and room doors. That worked throughout our stay, though there were around six separate emails and WhatsApp messages about the booking, which could easily confuse people. The furniture was a bit dusty and there was hair in the shower when we arrived. Reporting every issue meant opening an email and clicking through the cleaners' photos. I appreciate that guests can do this, but it was a chore when tired, with no staff around to deal with it. I noticed an extra $15 charge for late checkout after missing another email link about checking out. I hadn't seen it and didn't realize we had to say we'd left. We left eight minutes after checkout, and the cleaner was there talking to someone. I don't think eight minutes would usually mean a late fee at a hotel, and I didn't plan to pay it voluntarily.
