The staff helped with luggage storage on checkout day, and the hotel is about a 15-minute walk from the stadium. Still, I was genuinely disappointed. I only stayed one night and didn’t have time to bring these things up, but for a four-star hotel the room was missing basics: no slippers or toothpaste, one cup and no spoon for two guests, and no small hand towels, just shower towels. I’ve had very good experiences with NH in Germany, where as a loyal customer I was even offered breakfast at no charge, so this stay felt like a letdown by comparison.

My handbag was stolen while I was in the hotel restaurant, along with important documents and personal belongings. What followed was just as upsetting: staff wouldn’t review the CCTV, no incident report was made, and nobody offered support or even a basic apology. I stayed at the hotel recently and found the experience extremely disappointing. For a hotel in an international chain, the lack of attention to guest safety was unacceptable. I’m writing to warn other guests and urge management to take security seriously.

This setup isn’t viable. Companies including Viking Cruises, Scylla, Amplia, Reitsma, and Torstein Hagen use what I see as an erroneous Swiss investment system. They conduct preliminary interviews to gather private information from other companies, offer no financial compensation, and expect candidates to pay for their own uniforms, travel, and health insurance. The contract is temporary, limited, or whatever they choose to call it.

The room was quiet at the back of the building, and the curtains did a great job of blocking light for sleep. The lighting itself was terrible for reading. The station is nearby, though the city centre is a bit of a walk away. There’s a Metro close by if you want it.
