Apartamentos Madrid Rio

The kitchen was very poorly equipped, with no electric kettle and hardly any spoons. The apartment is below street level, with two windows facing the pedestrian street, so there’s little privacy if you want a street view or fresh air. It also wasn’t as bright as the photos suggested, and the air felt heavy and musty. The hosts seemed to cover that up with air fresheners. The bedroom window looks straight at a wall. The main problem was the sofa bed. It was in awful shape, like something from a junkyard, as the photos show, and impossible to sleep on when opened. There were no sheets for it when we arrived, and the hosts couldn’t provide any that day. We asked the host company to fix things by moving us to another apartment or repairing the sofa bed, but they said there was nothing wrong with it. The apartment was poorly maintained. I don’t know why other people left different reviews, but if any maintenance had been done, it must have been a long time ago. We had a very bad experience with both the apartment and the hosts. I’d suggest finding somewhere else in Madrid.
