I found a dead bedbug in the bed after checking in, and one usually means there are more. The staff didn’t seem concerned and said they’d clean tomorrow. I’d seen several other reviews mentioning bedbugs, so I assume they just carry on and ignore the problem instead of having the mattresses professionally cleaned or replaced. I didn’t sleep there and had to book another hostel at 22:15. They won’t give me my money back. Avoid this place!

I arrived after reception had closed, and although I emailed to ask about checking in late, I never heard back. Nobody showed up, so I spent the night in the lobby. At least I wasn’t out on the street, but it wasn’t comfortable. I asked around and no one knew how to contact the staff. All the bathrooms ran out of toilet paper, and there was no way to get that sorted during the night. Another guest told me this was common, though I can’t verify that. In the morning I left without checking in. I never got a reply to my emails, texts, or calls, but someone had still charged my card. When I left, another guest was still waiting in the lobby to check in, despite having booked two nights.

The rooms and common area were well maintained, and there was a microwave, fridge, and kettle in the common area. Service was good. There could be as many as 14 people in a room. The showers were decent, but small and didn’t lock, and the bathrooms regularly ran out of toilet paper.

The staff were really kind and helpful, and the location is right in the center, close to everything. My room was clean and quiet. I had a really nice stay and recommend this place.
