I’ve stayed at Casa Almagro by The Pavilions Hotels & Resorts twice, first from the end of 2025 into the first two weeks of January, then again in February. On the second visit, I unexpectedly needed somewhere to stay at the last minute after deciding to leave an acquaintance’s home. The team settled my concerns right away with a simple, reassuring “Yes, we can, it would be an honor.” That said a lot about their hospitality. Óscar Bellido Esteban, the Hotel Manager, Alona Stekhun, the Front Office Manager, Carmen, the Housekeeping Manager, Jeselle at the front desk, and Óscar at the front desk were all outstanding. They handled every concern promptly and professionally, and when I gave direct feedback during my stay, they addressed it without hesitation. The rooms are spacious, elegant, and kept impeccably. The location is central and convenient, with a refined feel and a calm residential atmosphere. At a time when customer service around the world can feel transactional or diminished, Casa Almagro offers genuine hospitality, skill, and pride in service. This is what 5-star service looks like. 5 out of 5.

After more than a month of searching online, we happened upon Casa Almagro Madrid, and it turned out to be exactly what we wanted. We were drawn by its quiet, intimate feel, understated elegance, Euro Asian influence, attention to detail, and overall style. Booking seven nights through the hotel website was easy, and we got a prompt, courteous reply. The location was already a big draw, but we hadn’t realized the hotel was next to the Ministry of the Interior. For us, the Guardia Civils along the block added a welcome sense of safety. We could walk to everything we cared about, from the church, restaurants, and shops to the Prado, about a 30-minute walk away. Alona, Jeselle, Oscar, Carmen, Julio, and Diego were all welcoming. If you want somewhere quiet to come home to after a long, busy day, Casa Almagro would be a great fit. We were so pleased!

Javier was a real help at check-in, especially since my luggage had gone missing when I arrived. The other staff were lovely too, and made the stay much more comfortable. The location was excellent, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, and it felt safe and easy to get around on foot. The room was spotless, the shower pressure was fantastic, and the bedding was really comfortable. My only small gripe was the 10-plus light switches with no labels, which could be confusing. Still, it was a great stay.

The breakfast wasn’t a buffet, it was a la carte, so that might not suit everyone. Still, there was a good range of choices, and the breakfast staff brought orders out quickly and efficiently. The hotel was pleasant and quiet, and I’d recommend it for a relaxing stay. It had all the essential toiletries I’d expect from a four-star place. For the price, though, I’d have expected newer linen and towels, as the ones we had showed some wear.
