My twin room was pleasant and clean, and the old man at reception was extremely helpful and sweet. The hotel is right in the centre of Madrid. He doesn’t speak English, though, so Google Translate comes in handy if you have trouble understanding him.

The owner who hosted us was a very nice old man and gave us tips for getting around. The location is excellent, and it’s a good, quiet place for a night or two. The facilities could be better: the room was a bit cold and there was only one socket. Still, it’s worth the money.

For the price, the location is convenient, there’s plenty nearby, and the staff were friendly. But I didn’t like the rental rules. After midnight, you can only come back to your room once, and nobody will open the door for you after that. You can’t take your room key with you. This happened to me on Christmas night.

The rooms are clean and the service is good, so it’s really good value. They’re definitely small, and the place could use renovation, but for a one-star hotel it’s superb.
