Our fourth-floor room was noisy, with traffic outside and other guests audible through the walls. The pillows were awful, though the bed itself was great. The bar was closed for maintenance while we stayed in February 2026. Compared with other Leonardo Hotels, this place felt old and tired. We had a “superior” room, but it seemed much smaller than rooms at the other Leonardo Hotels we’ve stayed in. We won’t be back.

The staff were friendly and helpful, which is why I’m giving two stars, but the stay wasn’t great. We booked a room with a double bed and got two twin beds pushed together instead. The walls were so thin we could hear our neighbours having ordinary conversations. It was really irritating, and staff told us all the rooms were like that.

The sound insulation is terrible. Street noise, the hallway, and other rooms were all so loud that more than once I thought I’d left the door or window open. The rooms themselves are nice and quite spacious, and service at the hotel was pretty good. Breakfast was good apart from the coffee, which was really bad. The neighbourhood is more modern and local, with good restaurants at reasonable prices. For the usual tourist sights, though, you’re looking at about a 30-minute walk.

The room was comfortable and clean, and getting around was easy since restaurants, shops, and public transport are close by. The staff were polite and accommodating, always happy to help with what I needed. I had a great stay at the Leonardo Hotel Madrid City Center. I’d recommend adding breakfast too, it makes mornings easier before heading out to explore.
