For a business trip to Torre Europa or a football match at Bernabeu Stadium, the location is ideal. There’s a metro station right outside, with a direct line to the city centre. Staff were good, and my room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was the letdown. It’s very basic, with croissants, bread, fruit, yogurt, pate, and a few other things. Some fresh ham and cheese, or even simple hard-boiled eggs, would make it much better. Still, I’d recommend the hotel.

The room was comfortable, clean, and in very good shape, and the bathroom was immaculate. I was in room 6, though, and metallic rattling went on for most of the night, making it hard to rest. It stopped once I got up in the morning. I was glad I’d packed earplugs, and I ran the bathroom fan all night to try to cover the noise. I’d book again, but I’d complain if it happened next time.

The staff seemed quite willing to help, and the place was clean enough and near the subway. But "functional" is about the kindest thing I can say. Everything looks cheap, my room smelled like an old ashtray, and the breakfast was one of the least appealing I’ve seen in years.

The metro is right nearby, and the rooms were exceptionally clean. Staff were very friendly, the breakfast had fresh fruit, and the coffee was good. It had everything I needed for a safe, pleasant stay.
