The rooms are on the small side, but everything feels new and works properly. We had a great time, especially for the price and the excellent Madrid location. The staff were lovely and polite.

The place was tidy, and the cleaning ladies were really helpful and nice. We could leave our things after the 12 checkout and come back for them later. It's very central, near Gran Via and Puerta del Sol. My room, though, was tiny and got really, really hot. It had no window, which made it a bad choice for anyone who might feel claustrophobic. There was just one very small bathroom with a toilet, and I don't know whether the other rooms have their own toilets. If my room had had a window, the stay would've been great.

The person looking after us was so sweet and understanding. The room and bathroom were very clean, too. It's right among Madrid's busiest streets, so the location is perfect. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

The only upside was the location. All night, dirty water leaked from the air conditioning onto my mattress and pillow, and I ended up sleeping on towels. There was nobody at reception to help deal with it, so I wouldn't recommend CH Lumiere.

It's a really basic hotel, but it's super clean, the aircon is great, and you're right in the middle of gran via.
