Derj - 2 Bedrooms in Almagro

I wouldn’t come back. We didn’t get any rest, and I felt disgusted and dirty throughout the stay. The woman at reception was incredibly nice and polite, but this hotel didn’t live up to my expectations, so I have to give it one star. During our August 2026 stay, the room was unbearably hot all night. The advertised air conditioning didn’t work, despite several attempts to adjust the thermostat. The bed was very hard, and there was little ventilation even with the window open. Then at 2:00am, I went to the bathroom and reached for toilet paper. We hadn’t used any since arriving, and the roll was still fresh, with the first sheet attached. There was a huge green and red booger stuck to it. I was horrified by how unhygienic that was. In the morning I asked reception for an hoja de reclamaciones, and she happily gave me one.

The hotel is in a great location for everything we wanted to see, which kept us from complaining too much. The room was neat, though it looked dusty and a bit run down, and several things need a revamp. We’ve stayed in better places. The walls were paper thin, and guests in the room above moved around through the whole night, which was annoying.

The only good thing was the location. The rooms were disgustingly dirty, and the place was so loud and echoey. The air conditioning didn’t work either. My flight was delayed, so I called the night before to ask if a late check-in would be okay. They said yes, but when I arrived I had to sit outside on the stairs for two hours before anyone from reception showed up. AWFUL.

This is a very old, cheap hotel, so don’t expect luxury or a good experience. Check-in was slow and took me 40 minutes. The rooms were dirty, and there was almost no hot water.
