Hostal Far Home Plaza Mayor

Go here if you want to RUIN your trip. ABSOLUTELY DISGRACEFUL! The place looked nothing like the photos, and our room constantly smelled like a DRAIN. There was hair and bugs on the bed, and the sheets were dirty. It looked as if nobody had cleaned after the previous guests. When we brought it up, we got 0 communication from their team. We had to pay extra to change rooms because it was a HORRIBLE HORRIBLE place to stay. I wish I could give it 0 zero. Cherry on top, the neighborhood looked super shady at night.

The kitchen has everything you need, including a fridge, sink, plates, and free coffee. The bathrooms were always clean, and the Filipina receptionist was really kind. Nice hostel!

We stayed three nights and spent most of our time out sightseeing, so the tiny room was fine for us. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms clean. Metro, cafes, tapas bars, and markets are about a five-minute walk away, though the neighborhood can get noisy at night.

I like a cool, fresh room at night, but having no heating when it's below 8 degrees is a real problem. The shower can also turn ice cold if someone else seems to be using the hot water. Saving money shouldn't come at any cost.
