I wouldn’t recommend this hostel to anyone. The service and communication were bad, and there’s a horrible chemical smell. Rain also gets inside. The office is closed before 16:30, so people who arrive earlier have a hard time with their luggage. You have to leave a deposit, but it’s returned when you leave, which means people departing early in the morning can’t get their money back. I’d also call the place dangerous, almost like the Ghetto.

The metro is close, but the area felt dangerous. The room was awful, with a chemical smell and loud street noise all night. I couldn’t find my room, and management made a payment mistake. Reception hours are limited, so arriving outside those hours could leave you stuck on the street. The staff only spoke Spainish, which isn’t their fault, but they wouldn’t use Google Translate for people who don’t speak it. I had to change rooms on my last night and wait until check-in time. They wouldn’t store my luggage for free and charged me for leaving it in the lobby. Strongly not recommended.

The location was a plus: there’s a 24 hour shopping center close by, and I could cook and keep cold drinks in the refrigerator. The price is really good, though I don’t know if the other apartments are set up the same way. I checked in a day late and was put in a large apartment with an oven and refrigerator. It had six beds, plus a shower and toilet, but wasn’t very comfortable. I slept well, perhaps because there was some kind of window and you couldn’t see through the door, which may be why only men were sleeping there. When I showered, water ran out of the bathroom and I had to wipe it up.

We expected a really bad hostel in a shady area after reading the reviews, but the stay turned out surprisingly well. The street may look a bit dangerous, though at night I’ve been in plenty of places that felt worse. You’ll have a good stay if you get good neighbors. The reception is in the opposite building and opens a little late. They know little English, which can be a problem.

I got an address different from the one I’d booked. The bathroom was missing basic things like a toilet seat and a hook for clothes, the drain didn’t work properly, and we couldn’t use the lockers. A horrible experience.
