The entrance is surprisingly hard to spot from Gran Via. We walked past it several times before finding it. Once inside, though, Ikonic Gran Via was the best choice of our whole vacation. The service was impeccable, the rooms were exceptionally clean, and the staff were very friendly. The location is everything, right in the middle of Gran Via with restaurants, shops, and other amenities close by. We walked everywhere and only needed transport to and from the airport. For anywhere else, the metro station is directly across Gran Via. Our room was large for a European hotel, with a comfortable bed and a bathroom that was spacious by European standards. I can't say enough good things about the stay.

The Gran Via location put us close to attractions, cafes, restaurants, and bars. Madrid is small and easy to get around on foot, and we managed to walk to all the tourist sights without much trouble. Just expect some street noise since the hotel is on a main road. It didn't bother us too much. We chose this affordable, clean hotel for its location and price while travelling with my girlfriend. The staff were kind and professional, and we'd happily stay here again on our next trip to Madrid.

The staff promptly took care of every request, and our stay was pretty good overall. The rooms were renovated, clean, and felt brand new, and the staff were very friendly. The location is central, close to all the major parts of the city. The downsides were the tiny lobby with no seating and no other lounge in the hotel, plus a breakfast buffet with less variety than I'd expect at a four-star hotel. Prices were also very high for what you get, so I'm not sure I'd return at that cost.

The staff were warm and welcoming, and happy to help with all my needs. The location was great, and I'd highly recommend the hotel. My room was clean and the bed and pillows were cozy, though one side of the mattress sloped down a little, so I moved to the other side. I wasn't keen on the pink lighting indoors and kept wishing there was more light. During the day, opening the curtains brought in plenty of light and a great view of Madrid's streets. The large windows opened too, which felt refreshing. One real letdown: the toilet paper was like sandpaper.

The room was excellent, and room service and the reception staff were excellent too. Delfina, the cleaner, was excellent, and Supervisor Jenny was great for cleaning. The letdown was the TV: it wasn't a smart TV, which disappointed me.
