Hostal Adriano

The rooms were very clean and the staff were super friendly, with excellent service. It’s a great base for sightseeing, about a 10-minute walk from Puerta del Sol. The bathroom was a little tight, so it may not work for someone who needs more space, but it was clean and fully functional. I’ve already told friends about the place and will definitely come back.

We got used to the noise from being right in the middle of everything, and it felt worth it because our room was so homey. It was beautifully decorated and lit, the beds were really comfortable, and the small bathroom was perfectly fine. The place was spotless, with a thorough clean every day. The host and all the staff were lovely and super friendly. The rooms have good insulation, air conditioning and heating, though it still isn't completely quiet. Great value for money. Thanks, guys!

The bathroom and toilet were so tiny that it was hard to move around in there. The room itself was decent, and the location is very central, with several Metro stations nearby and Gran Via shopping within walking distance. I stayed four nights. Service was average. Since the neighboring building is a dance club, music went on late into the morning, with other nighttime noise like police sirens and people shouting. I guess that's part of staying near the city center.

Although we booked two months ahead, we were given a room with a window only about 30 cm wide, facing a ventilation shaft. The hostel has nicer rooms at the same price, so it's a mystery how they decide who gets which one. The place was clean and nicely furnished, but some rooms don't look like the photos on the main page. The location is excellent, with Madrid's sights and major transport hubs all within walking distance.
