Hostal Delfina

The rooms have an authentic Spanish feel but are still comfortable, with modern bathroom fixtures, noise reducing windows, and fast Wi-Fi. The very charismatic Mrs. Delfina runs this cozy, comfortable hostal herself. It’s in the heart of Madrid, within walking distance of several major tourist spots in the city.

This is my second time staying here, and it’s always a pleasure. If you know what having a grandma means, you’ll feel like you’ve gone back in time. A super sweet grandma welcomes you into an old-fashioned but extremely clean and cozy apartment right in the city centre. The apartment is very quiet and peaceful, and every day there are fresh, clean, ironed sheets. You can check in very late too. I highly recommend it.

The room and bathroom were very clean, and the staff kindly kept our bags at reception so we could pick them up later that afternoon. The location is extremely central and handy for tourist spots. Still, despite emailing twice and calling to ask for a double bed, we ended up with two singles. They also hung up when I called, and nobody spoke English. An English-speaking person at the desk would help guests who need assistance finding the hostal, as we did.

Right in central Madrid, Hostal Delfina is a charming, family-run place that feels welcoming and homelike. The rooms were spotless and really comfortable, and the staff were very friendly. It was budget-friendly too. Highly recommended!
